I posted this thread when my CPU temps were too high high. After lots of troubleshooting, I determined my aio cooler must have failed. I bought an ArtiC Liquid freezer ii 240 to replace it with and finally got around to the install. Past thread and computer specs can be found in this thread: https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...-linked-to-cpu-cooling.3803573/#post-22981495

I was a relatively simple install..the hardest part was getting the old cooler backplate off that was glued to the back of the motherboard. The rest was quite simple.

Once I was done, the computer would not boot. It would just power cycle on and off every few seconds. I could not even get to bios, nothing showed on the screen. I saw a post about taking out the cmos battery and putting it back in, and now after doing that, it stays powered on but giving the beep code of three short and one long beep. Here's the audio of the code http://sndup.net/mx29. Other places say this code is for the PC not detecting ram, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the stick, even tried the other two slots and the error persists.

Idk what happened. I'm worried that when I used the hair dryer to heat up the glue to remove the backplate, I maybe damaged something on the motherboard? Or maybe damaged some internal motherboard circuitry when I pried it off after heating the plate up? Here is the pic of the plate I'm talking about, it was glued to the back of the motherboard to give the aio cooler a place to be screwed to. The artic did not fit it, and came with its own backplate that had to be installed. https://ibb.co/6sttrvk

Any suggestions?

That makes me wonder, how did you take the backplate off? Did you knock out any component on the back of the motherboard or scratch the PCB of said motherboard?

Did you need to remove the CPU at any point of time during the cooler's installation process?
