So I recently decided to upgrade from 8gb of this ram http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008LTJJM2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage to 16gb of this ram http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006WAGGUK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage I am completely getting rid of my original ram, and putting in a fresh 16gb of my new ram. However, whenever I installed my new ram, my computer will not boot into windows. I am fairly positive that these two different models have the same specs, so the new model should work in my motherboard, right?
Another thing, If I put in 2 of the sticks, it will let me boot to bios, but if I put in all 4, then it starts to turn on and then suddenly turns off and repeats the process.

Also this is my motherboard

Any suggestions would help!!

Solution
Boot with the RAM that is working and do a BIOS update, see if things work then. Also check on the motherboard manual, the RAM density may be an issue with using all 4 slots.

Is it still considered mixing memory even if i completely removed the Patriot ram? I currently only have 1 brand in...
