So my GPU (MSI R6850 1GB) had a bug of some sort in which when I was playing games, sometimes the hair of my characters would appear transparent.

This never happened prior to this year, so I thought it was either an issue with the drivers or I needed to reseat the GPU. I upgraded the drivers and the problem still persisted, so I proceeded to reseat the GPU last night.

I reseated the GPU and turned the computer back on, but the computer did not boot properly. It turned on, but the monitor didn't display anything and the keyboard and mouse did not light up. The USB speakers I have did however light up.

After turning the power off and on several times, it managed to boot once. I got to the windows desktop and suddenly the screen crashed. I got a BSOD and the computer shut itself off.

When I turned the computer back on, it asked me if I wanted to do a BIOS repair. I don't know if I should have, but I chose not to. I tried to start windows normally and it just didn't. I was stuck in the BIOS image screen and I forcefully shut down my computer.

Ever since, my computer hasn't booted properly. I can tell the machine turns on, but the monitor remains black and my keyboard and mouse are dormant as well.

I thought maybe the GPU drivers crashed so I took the GPU out and connected my monitor to my motherboard's display port. The problem still persisted.

I tried to boot with each of the RAM cards out with no luck. I also tried taking out all the pin connectors of the PSU and reconnected them. This also did nothing.

I've had a similar issue before, but it wasn't caused by reseating the GPU. One day my computer just stopped turning on. The problem turned out to be a faulty PSU, so the PSU was replaced. This was only 6 months ago, and there was no BSOD the first time, which is why I believe it's not an issue with the PSU.

What should I do guys? Is there a way to restore my system without losing all of my data?

Sure, sorry about that. These are my specs:

Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q9550 (2.83Ghz)
4GB DDR2 RAM (2x 2GB)
750GB Seagate HDD
Deepcool DA500 80Plus Bronze 500W PSU
MSI Radeon R6850 1GB

It's a computer I bought from a friend 3 years ago, so I have no idea what motherboard it has, sorry about that.

*Update: The motherboard is the Pegatron Benicia 1.01.
