I have a Dell Inspiron One 2020. A week ago it froze, threw an error, attempted to restart but then wouldn't boot. The fans were spinning every few seconds and the power light was white, but the backlight on the LCD wasn't on. I managed to get it to reboot by moving the ram to a new slot, removing the cmos battery, and holding the power button down for a minute. After I plugged everything back in, it took a few minutes, but i eventually got the screen to say RTC has been reset. After that, i managed to get it to run for a week. Now it's doing it again, except even when i get it to start back up, anytime it goes into hibernation, sleep, or powers off, i can't get it back up without doing the above steps, and even that isn't a guarantee. I tried updating the BIOS and ran the dell diagnostic but everything was clear.
