Computer won't boot from start-up menu

My computer won't boot after I turn my computer on.
So when I start it up it flashes up where you can select the bios or boot menu and if I leave it ,it just stays on that screen with a loading symbol going round and round and then all the usb ports disconnect so I'm forced to restart computer
I've tried to manually boot through bios and it does the same,just constant loading on the screen where I can choose bios setup or run boot menu with (del) or (f11)

sounds like your o.s. has gone bad.
have you tried booting into safe mode?
if you can get into safe mode (use the system boot menu) then run sfc/ scannow to repair windows and check device manager for any broken drivers.

Where is the safe mode boot again been looking and got a feeling I've been going right past it thanks

Update it's Windows 10 and forgot it does it automatically when it doesn't boot properly a couple times ,so when it says preparing automatic repair,it does the same and loads forever again in the same menu bit where you can choose bios or boot menu
May have to dig my Windows CD out and boot it from that in safe mode

there should be splash info that tells you how to open the boot menu at power on.
normally f8 or f12
