Hi, I was recently asked to fix my girlfriend's family member's PC. I put a clean boot of vista on it and everything was working perfectly. It was rather slow so I wanted to get some RAM to speed it up a bit. They only use it for browsing and it's around 4-5 years old so the RAM was a bit dead and I ordered new RAM. I wanted to check the opening of the case and where the RAM ports were before ordering. I removed the existing RAM stick then popped it back in. Checked over everything (as sometimes I guess things can pop out) and everything was in place.
Now, putting everything back together, the PC wouldn't boot up at all. The monitor is getting no signal (checked monitor with laptop and working fine). No idea what's happened!!
I have a feeling the RAM went bad? As RAM is necessary to boot the PC or even get into your BIOS?
Ordered RAM so I hope it's definitely the problem. Hoping someone could give me some advice.

Man that's a long link. Anyway the whole thing is a store bought PC with all the same components from factory.
Cheers for any advice! This is driving me up the wall!!
