I just finished building my new computer and when I turn it on it gets to the motherboard bios prompt then it gets to the options of how I want to start windows and when I press "start windows normally" or ANY of the other buttons it just restarts the whole thing like its on a loop. Please help me as I've been dying to play Battlefield 4.

Mobo:Z97 MSI Gaming 7
Video card:ASUS R9 290x
RAM: 2 sticks of Patriot DDR3 with 8GB each
CPU:Intel Core i5 4690k

I've tried resetting the CMOS and taking out one stick of RAM.(do keep in mind I'm a bit of an ameture at building PCs and stuff)

Did you do a fresh OS install on the new build? It sounds like you're trying to boot into a Windows install on a HDD pulled from a different computer. If that's what you're attempting to do then that explains the error your are receiving. You will have to do a fresh OS install on the new system.

Ah I think that may be the issue. I didn't do a fresh OS install on the new build and am trying to boot from my old computer's HDD with windows vista 32 bit (Home premium I think) If that is the issue how would I go about doing a fresh OS install on the new build?

Hi,
Download the cd ISO file for the windows you want and use the key from your PC.
If you replaced too many devices in the PC, windows might complain.

be sure you have the right network drivers on a USB stick.
you'll need them once windows is installed. once the networkdevicedrivers are ok, windows will install most drivers for the other devices.

let us know if you need more help (installing windows is not that difficult as many think).

cheers, Louise.
