This is my first time having this issue, the computer worked just fine yesterday. When I turn on the computer, it goes to a black screen that says "edge" on it which is the MSI motherboard I have. That part is normal but it's usually only up for a second and if it goes longer, there's a loading circle on the bottom of the screen. Now it won't go past that screen even after 5+ minutes and there's no loading circle on the bottom.

I've tried unplugging from the power supply and starting from the BIOS. What else can I try?

It stayed on that screen the whole time, never shut down.

It's certainly possible there was an automatic update but I didn't start one.

On the plus side, I figured it out. I took out the motherboard battery for a minute and put it back in and now it works. Is that something to worry about in the future? Or something I should be looking at? Everything is being very slow since I fixed it.
