Hello all,

I recently finished building my new computer with the following specs:

I7-4770k
Asus Maximus VI Formula
8GB Geil 1333mhz DDR3
Corsair H110 cooler
Be quiet P10 dark power pro 1000w
2 x GTX 780 ti SLI

Just now for the first time I was trying the build out in BF4 for about two hours when the computer shut down. The lights on the motherboard were still on but I couldn't restart it.

The only way I got it back on was when I removed 1 card. I swapped both of them and both worked when doing this. I tested both PCIe cables and both motherboard slots and they are fine.

What could be the issue with my computer suddenly not booting anymore with more then one gtx 780 ti?

Solution
yea sounds like maybe the fan isnt working or something. You should not be having issues like this. I'd say try a different psu and see where that gets you.

Earlier today I updated my bios to it's latest version and everything seemed to work fine. I pressed the reset cmos button at the back if that's what you mean by reset

I tried that yesterday and no success.

After leaving it like that for the night, it just started up with both cards in it..

I'm thinking this has something to do with the power from my house? Cause yesterday it was under heavy load then it shut down for an hour or so.

Could this maybe be cause I have multiple things plugged in the power adaptor where the psu is plugged into as well?

I was thinking of swapping out PSU's today to see if that helped but since it started back up I'll have to wait for this problem to occur again

you could always get a voltage stabilizer. I think thats what they are called. I used to see them plugged up in home theater systems. Basically you plug that into your wall socket then all of your other things plug into that. It takes dirty unclean wavering power and smooths it out so all your components get nice clean even voltage.

That might be something I should try then. Right now I'm testing the stabillity with leaving it on for half a day while stress testing it tonight. If it has this again I'll try plugging the PSU into the wall socket and see if it boots then

Just ran Furmark with the exact same setup as last night and it did the same thing. It's been over an half hour and still can't boot. I switched the power supply cable to another wall slot and waiting for it to boot so I can try again.

I'm thinking it's the PSU preventing the boot
