Computer Won't Boot

So I believe that my Hard Drive is failing. My computer crashed the other day and windows would not start whenever I turn it on. It would originally let me try and go to a restore point or do an automatic repair, and then said I need to boot windows using a cd or a media device. But now, I am getting a NTFS_System error, or something along that lines. I was going to try and boot windows with my usb device, but I am not sure that I can because the laptop is stuck in a loop of powering on, saying it couldn't, restarting to do the automatic repair, then a black screen and nothing ever happens. when I force-shutdown, it just goes back to the beginning of this loop. Can anyone help me?

I think your hard drive is dead. You could always run Linux off a disk and do a hard drive scan form there.
