Computer wont cold boot.

I just finished my new machine and everytime it has been off for a while and i power it on it goes past the bios screen windows starts to load then screen goes to no video signal at which point i hit the restart button and it boots fine and all is well. i think its the psu its an old crappy corsair cx 500 that i bought used and this is the second computer of mine that ive used it in. What do you guys think? My PC:
AMD FX 6350
G-SKILL ripjaws 8gb
ASUS M5A99X MOBO
Gigabyte GTX 750ti 2gb
Windows 8.1
Corsair cx 500

Something I noticed - I had this exact issue with my M5A99X EVO R2.0 before I went Intel. Try another motherboard.

Thanks it ended up being the power supply thank god i swear if it was the mobo i would have launched the thing out the window that mobo has given me a lot of problems the first one i got was DOA apparently u dident like it much either.

It isn't that I didn't like it (truely I had some issues with it like socket temps) but it was a hassle.
