Computer won't detect my PS4 Controller

A few days ago, I wanted to use my PS4 controller on Just Cause 3, so I installed DS4, and it worked properly with all games I wanted to play. Yesterday, when I tried plugging it into my computer, DS4 wouldn't find the controller, and games like Rocket League (Which would pick up the controller, with or without DS4) were also not picking it up. My computer still detects it, and the controller light turns on when I plug it in (But then briefly turns off, I assume because it is fully charged), but it still doesn't work.
I have tried removing and reinstalling DS4, removing and reinstalling the SCP driver, have tried different USB ports, and have pressed the small button on the back of the controller to reset it. None of these have resolved the issue, so I need some help.

I am using Windows 10, and my controller has never had problems before this.

Windows 10 should automatically install the controller drivers for you, you shouldn't need third party software.

if you want to use PS4 controllers on PC, you need third party software for some games. JC3 does not work natively, but games like Rocket League do. Either way this doesn't help to resolve my issue.

I had the same problem. It had something to do with DS4windows i'm pretty sure. All i did was go in to control panel>devices and printers>then click on the wireless controller, then click on the hardware tab, then double click HID- game controller and click enable. For some reason, mine was disabled so I just went in and enabled it. Hope this helps!

I can see this thread is kinda old, but i want to put this out there just incase you still need help or someone else comes along and this helps. I was setting up an HTC VR headset for a friend of mine a month or so ago. When i first set it up i paid no attention to the USB ports i was plugging the controllers into. This took me several days to setup. I had to build them a computer to run it.
Anyway one day when i came in they said the controllers wouldnt sync up to the computer. It baffled me and i probably played with this issue for 2 days before i figured it out. When i installed the controllers the first time i had plugged them into USB 3.0 ports. When my friend plugged them in he plugged them into USB 2.0 ports. And for some reason they would not sync up at that point.
If you're still having trouble with this, perhaps this is the issue? Try plugging your ps4 controller into a USB 3.0 port if available.

What I did to fix it (I fixed it a few months ago, just never updated), was I turned on the PS4 I used the controller on, synced the controller with the PS4 and connect the controller to the PS4 via the charging chord, made sure it was working, and then shut off the PS4. After that I turned the controller to pairing mode, paired it with my computers Bluetooth, and it magically worked again. I had tried this same routine beforehand, but it didn't work. It only seemed to work after I left the controller for a week or so without using it.
