computer wont download software

my sister recently bought a tomtom device and it makes you create an account etc so you can update the maps but when she tried to download it she could click the 'save file' button but it wouldnt let her install the program, so i tried and fiddled about with it and got nothing either. it aasks for an administrative password and then to click the yes button but it doesnt provide a textbox to type in the password. she said this happens regularly when she tries to download stuff for university. so i was wondering if there is a tool that she may have accidentally disabled or something that may prevent this being used. she is the only person that uses the laptop and is an administrator on it as well..

So you went from a TomTom to a laptop? And neither will accept the password its given? Contact TomTom and the laptop manufacturer. You wont get any password help here.
