Computer won't let me boot from hard drive

I recently built a PC and set it up today, I booted from win7 CD and went on it for a while. When I turned it off and came back on later it asked for me to insert boot media in selected boot device(the CD). The problem is when I try to boot it it takes me to the installation screen. I have tried booting from hard drive but it's the same again.

Did you actually complete the installation of Windows 7 on the HDD?

So your trying to boot to a hardrive with no operating system?
