Recently built a new pc finally. But the computer will not post nor work it beep to indicate a ram issue. I read my motherboard and the memory I bought was incompatible. But the thing is shouldn't it at least display via the screen to either indicate bad memory? Or does memory need to be present to basically start all the components on first use? I've also checked all the components to make sure they are all seated. Power is flowing to everything as I have a 850 watt power supply. Advice is asked as I have purchased ram that is in the motherboard specs.

Thanks

Without RAM that is operational, the PC will not boot at all. Memory must be present, working and compatible to start, not only on first use, but always. If you had a perfectly working PC and its RAM went bad for whatever reason, it would not start at all.
However, if you try to boot pc without any RAM, beeper should beep error code. Please post full machine specs.
