Hey guys and girls. So i tried installing my new gpu today and once i tried to power my pc on the mobo flashed white and did nothing. I unplugged the power and reattempted and the mobo flashed red and did not power on. I reinstalled my old gpu and now my mobo keeps flashing white then red and not powering on. Did my new gpu just fry my system?
Specs:
Ryzen 5 3600x
New gpu - EVGA FTW3 3070
Old gpu - MSI Ventus OC 2060
Mobo - Gigabyte x570 aorus elite
RAM - Gskill trident z 32gb
PSU - Corsair RM 850x

Im not very computer savvy so any bit of help is appreciated.

Solution
It may be due to mechanical stress. Try this:
  • Loose/remove any part that is mounted both to mainboard and case (typically GPU and other pcie devices)
  • Loose the screws that mount the motherboard to the casing. Only little, so that the motherboard feel lose.
  • Then fasten the devices you loosened in #1.
  • Then tighten the screws that mounts the mainboard. Just be aware to not tighten too much.
