Hello!

I just woke up to a problem - my PC does not recognize that I have an ethernet cable plugged in when it was working fine previously. I tried the ethernet cord on my work computer and it works fine. I tried another ethernet cable on my PC that has not ever been used, doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling network drivers. I have tried a system restore, doesn't help. I am truly at a loss of what to do next.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS.

What ethernet port are you using: motherboard, PCIe slotted, or perhaps USB-Ethernet adapter?

Is the PC to Router Ethernet connection direct (PC --- Router) or via some wall jack, switch, powerline adapter?

On your PC open Reliability History and look for errors codes or warnings - especially any that are network related.

Are you able to run and post the results of "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the Command prompt?

More information needed.
