Computer wont recognize my headset plugged into neither of my audio jacks

I recently got a new HyperX headset and I tried plugging into the audio jack, since there was no USB converter like my other previous headsets. When I plug it in... nothing happens. I look at my playback devices, and nothing pops up. I might hear a quiet buzz, but thats about it. I'm not too familiar with computers, so I don't know if this is simple fix or whatnot. I've never used the audio jacks. I bought my PC from an online "Build your own PC" site. Could they have messed some wiring, or something?

I highly doubt it would be a bad wiring job. Sorry if this is redundant, but have you tried testing out the ports on the back of the board?

I've tried both the audio ports/jacks on the front and back off the pc. I don't know if you meant this, but my USB ports in the mother board are mostly all being used and working fine
