Hey guys first time post here.

Today I went to pull out one of my graphics cards (Nividia 650 Ti superclocked) and i accidentially pulled the shroud off of the pci pins (See pictures below if needed). Any way after very little fiddiling I relised the shroud was not going back on and decided to try boot my computer.

Unfortunately it starts up for about 1 second or so and then powers itself off.

So my guess is its from what I did to the pci slot; is there any way I can fix this?

Thanks :)

EDIT: wait sorry i see what your saying, do i need to get the shroud grounder only back in or do all the pins need to go back in the shroud?

Okay I was not able to get the ground on the actual shroud back in but I separated the pins that where touching on opposite sides and my computer has started. Is this okay or do you think I need to get the shroud back on some time? Cause the pins are kind of a mess and I think this might be hard.

I hope this is more of a joke. I myself can't see what could really go that wrong :??:

Well anyway I'am posting this from my computer now so that's good.

Thanks very much for your help.

Does that just mean the top pins separate from the bottom pins or also the pins side by side in the top and bottom?

Cheers :)

Thanks Jay! I ended up just tearing all the pins off (was not going to be able to straighten them) and putting the shroud back over where i pulled them off.

Thanks again for your help Jay, much appreciated!

Well yeah but I did that when I pulled the shroud off in the first place; there was no way I was getting the pins back straight anyway. I bought a new GTX 770 Classified 4GB card yesterday to put in my one free spot until I get a new mobo and set two of them up in SLI sometime in the future.
