I have a Gigabyte F2A78M-HD2 motherboard running an AMD A4-7300 APU Dual Core cpu. It works fine on the 2 MB Kingston ram that I built it with, but it won't boot using the new 4MB ram 16MHz ram that I've ordered. I've tried resetting the BIOS already, but it still won't run with it. It still works with the original 2MB ram.

BTW, here's the full eBay listing of the RAM I'm trying to install: "8GB 2X4GB DDR3 PC3-12800U 1600MHz 240pin DIMM Desktop RAM Memory For AMD Chipset"

Does that work for all brands, or just for Kingston?

The original 2MB ram was a Kingston. It still works, and I've got it back in and the computer works fine. The ram I was trying to install was a couple of 4MB cards that I bought off eBay. They seem to be genric no-name brands. It's the second time it's happened. The first time, I thought it was defective ram cards, so I sent them back and got a refund.

I remember reading on one of the other conversations on this site that some motherboards have issues with 4MB ram. I'm wondering if that's the case here?
