I built a computer about 6 months ago and almost every time after I power it down it won't turn back on. I have to repeatedly turn the back PSU power switch on and off more times than I care to count while pressing the front power button. Usually after 1-3 minutes I can finally get it to turn on. Once up and running it runs great. It never shuts down or has any problems. I have looked on many forums and cannot seem to find someone who had the same problem. I have the following:
750W PSU
AMD 8350 processor
FXA990 UD3 motherboard
16GB RAM
older video card...1GB
Transformer Case

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't think I can answer for you but reading your post reminded me of my ''last'' asus 990fx board the if you used restart like after windows update or any reason it would not start and I had to turn off the psu wait a few seconds turn the psu back and hit the start switch and it would then fire right up or if I shut down normally it would fire up just fine , but I never figured out the restart deal on it. I hope you find a fix . good luck.
After you turn your computer off, turn the PSU off and then keep pressing (Holding) the case power button for 20 seconds, this will discharge the electricity in your motherboard. After that just turn the PSU on and then try to turn your computer on.

make sure the mb bios code is up to date to rule out a bios issue. it can be the power supply or there a bad cap on the mb. if it a bad cap then your rig wont start till the cap drains. if it a power supply issue check the power good line. if this line is low output the mb wont post.
