Computer won't start

My win 10 computer just refuses to start. First it gave the old bootmgr missing, which it has done before since it sometimes messes up the boot order. I checked and it was as it should. I disconnected the other hdd:s. After that it just says disk boot error. Then I tried to boot from win 7 dvd to do a clean install. It won't boot from dvd either. I don't have a system restore usb for win 10 either. I have no idea what happened to the machine. Every time I turn on the pc it fails to even power on the first go, it gets to the bios info screen, shuts down and then powers up successfully just to get stuck loading the OS and disk boot failure. Any ideas how to get the pc running?

The rig is from 2011, but the system ssd is brand new and has worked perfectly up until now. I can't understand why it won't boot even from the windows dvd.

Take out your 1060 and run off of the motherboard I/O. Disconnect any USB devices (besides keyboard and mouse). Disconnect any other drive to include the DVD drive and only keep the boot drive connected. Clear your CMOS and attempt to boot and let me know what happens.

I did all that, reset bios to fail safe settings. Tried to boot with only ssd and dvd, tried with only ssd. Disk boot failure and won't even attempt to read the disk in drive.

Well, the signs are pointing toward a bad motherboard. The CPU is one of the most reliable parts of a computer system and I highly doubt it would cause a boot issue like that. My guess is that your motherboard chipset has failed and can no longer properly detect bootable media. I would suggest replacing the motherboard at this point.

Ok, this is just getting weirder. I poked around
The BIOS and somehow got it to boot up. Windows doesn't recognice the dvd drive either, it's there in the file explorer but the disk can't be read. Anyway, I put the 1060 back and now it goes to boot loop and there's nothing on the screen. It just powers up and shuts down continuously. Any ideas?

Alright, after switching the SATA cables and ports randomly, poking around BIOS some more (I enabled the HDD S.M.A.R.T. control, for example) I got it to boot up properly (though it did the double boot again) with all my HDD:s plugged in. Could the culprit be a failing CMOS-battery that resets the BIOS settings sometimes? I also thought the PSU might be on it's last breaths causing the booting to be so difficult, but I guess that wouldn't cause the disk boot failure or bootmgr missing fails.
Help very much appreciated! :)

New Asus mobo and Ryzen chip installed. Fresh Win 10 installed. Next day: bootmgr missing...

It really is strange. I've pretty much replaced everything but the 1060 and the PSU and I don't think the PSU failing would produce this kind of boot failure. I thought maybe the SSD had some kind of partition mix-up from 7 to 10 windows "upgrade", but I guess that hypothesis went down the toilet with this fresh install. I'll check the solutions on your link and report back.
