computer wont turn on after cleaning

after cleaning, power cable connected and green LED in back comes on. when I push on/off button in front, nothing happens and green LED goes out. unplug power cord and wait a minute, plug back in then green LED illuminates and as soon as power button is pushed same thing all over again...Any ideas?

So does the system power on or not? What I mean is do the fan spin? and what is this green LED you speak of?

it does not spin. On the back of the tower, where the power supply is mounted to the case, the power supply itself has a green LED indicator light that comes on when power is connected.

99% chance a cable is loose. Check the main 24 pin and all CPU connectors.

Also as I've seen other make the mistake make sure case fans are plugged into either the mother board connectors or the molex, not both as this will cause a short
