Computer won't turn on after virus scan

My computer shut off and won't turn back on. No lights, no sound, nothing. I had just updated my virus protector (Trend Micro) and was doing a full scan. I believe it was during the scanning that it died. I wasn't in the room, so I'm not exactly sure what happened after I left. When I came back in, the screen was black and it won't start. Any suggestions on how to get it back up and running??? 🙁 Thanks.

May be there is a problem with cables. because you say no lights/sounds when you turn on.

do you have any children or animals? they could have loosened up the PSU cord or if your PSU has it the power input switch may have been flipped.

No, I have checked the power cord, the outlet, I've unplugged it and waited 15 minutes and plugged it back in, and nothing. I did notice that the little green light on the back of the cpu is lit, but nothing on the front when I attempt to turn it on. 🙁

sorry but Your motherboard/psu is dead dude... It happened to my IBM think centre also......
you should check your pc by a repairer before replacing mobo/psu..

Damn....that's what I was afraid of. Can I get the info off the mobo if it's dead? Thanks.

The only information held on your MOBO is your bios and some system information. Nothing that cant be replaced, besides each and every motherboard is different unless you get a exact replacement.
