Hello,

First of all, let me list PC specs:

Case: NZXT Noctis 450
Motherboard: Asus X99-S
CPU: i7 5820K
Cooler: NZXT Kraken x61
RAM: 4x4GB G.Skill Trident Z 3200MHz
PSU: Seasonic 650W S12G
GPU: AMD R9 380
HDDs: 1 Samsung SSD EVO 850 256GB and 4 other mechanical drives
No card memmory card readers or DVD R/Ws

This whole system is one year old and was all bought at the time, except the HDDs.
So yesterday my computer was working perfectly. Last thing I did was watch a film on it, then I turned it off through Windows, and went to sleep. Today morning, I try to turn it on and nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. No beeps, no case LEDs, no fans spinning for half a second....
It seems strange to me that the system would simply stop working overnight while it wasn't even turned on. I fail to understand how a component could get damaged this way....

What I've done to troubleshoot it:

Removed all cables from the USB ports. The PC still didn't turn on. I did notice before removing the cables that the keyboard LEDs were turned off. It has an LED that is permenantly turned on, so that seemed weird.

Removed all HDDs. The system still wouldn't turn on.

Removed the GPU. The system still did nothing.

Removed all 4 stick of RAM from the system. The system still did nothing.

Checked if the PSU was dead. It turns on manually when the green wire is shorted. Checked with a multimeter and all wires have correct voltages well withing 5% tolerances. However all CPU fans and case LEDs turn on when I short the green wire. In contrast nothing happens when the PSU is plugged into the motherboard and I click the power button (both the case button or the motherboard power button). So the PSU seems to be working perfectly.

The motherboard seems to be the culprit here, but all the LEDs are working fine, so it must mean it is getting power. What else can I do to troubleshoot it?

I haven't touched the CPU yet, but to me it seems unlikely it has just simply died overnight.

Any help would be apreciated.
Thank you.
