Hi, I had an A6-6400K running on an FM2+ motherboard and I had saved enough money to get an A10-7850K so I did. I got it today and installed it. After placing the heatsink i noticed that the two "locks" of the heatsink weren't properly placed so I removed it and replaced it. I was able to boot up in this low resolution and then in turned off. I open the case again and see that one of the locks of the heatsink was not, well, locked. I take it off and look if the processor is okay. It was and I installed it again. I had a tough time fixing the locks of the heatsink but was finally able to do so. Afterwards, I turned it on and it was good, the resolution and everything. I had everything up and running and even went on youtube. After around 3-5 minutes it turned off and it wont turn on again. I don't want to open the case again since I don't want to do anything wrong again. As far as I'm concerned the processor is compatible with the mobo. I have a 550W Psu.
Really need help!
Edit: Now it would turn on for a few seconds then turn off again.
Edit #2: Decided to open it up again and the heatsink didnt have much resistance but still had it. I saw that the heatsink power connector to the motherboard was in one of the case fans. I put it out and fixed it and booted it up. It seems to be working for now but I'm not sure how long. Will update if still need help. If anyone notices something wrong please do help.
