Computer Won't Turn On, Only the Light

Good Morning!
I had a camera and a running watch plugged into my computer, a Lenovo E540, to charge and after checking my emails, I just shut my laptop screen.
I came back to check my emails again and nothing would show up: no screen display, no power light, nothing.
After reading other posts about taking out battery, plugging in, holding power button, reinserting battery, etc. it still wouldn't work.
Then I tried hooking up to a screen to see if it was my laptop screen that was the problem, however, the other screen came up with an error that my device was on power saving mode.
I have tried repeatedly to turn it on and only the light will appear.
Is there any other suggestions you have?

This is the solution I have found online! THANKS YOU SO MUCH! IT REALLY WORKS!

Unplug the power cord --> Remove the battery --> Remove the RAM from the slot

--> Hold the power button for 60 seconds --> Place the RAM back into the slot

--> Connect the power supply then try to switch ON the laptop and later put the

battery back into the laptop.
