Computer Won't Turn on. Please help quick

I am new to PC building so I gave it a go. I turn my power supply on and when I press the power button, a flash in the corner of my Z270X Ultra gaming motherboard flashed red for cpu. I have no idea why. Could anyone help me please.

Start at square 1(after each item that's checked, recheck whether you have power to mobo and the system turns on), double check all cable connections(literally all of them). Reseat all your installed cards. Pull your cpu, clean the tim, redo tim, re-install cpu. Reseat all your ram modules, swap them around, etc. and by this point, if the system won't turn on, we're looking at possible faulty part. If you don't have spares for everything, then you have to bribe a techy friend who does have that stuff to come over with his box of parts(try pizza and beer), cause you're stuck isolating and troubleshooting. But, I would be willing to bet that if you do all the items on this list from start to finish(everything before the last part of inviting your friend over), your system will work.

It looks like when you turned your PC on the heatsink fan did not spin. Check your fan headers.

Are you sure the fan is properly plugged/working? If you did not plug the fan the motherboard would trigger its safety procedure not to power up the CPU to prevent overheating.

Maybe your CPU cooler is not seated properly, but given you used the stock paste only you should be okay. If you added extra paste on top of the stock paste/used more than a 5mm diameter hemisphere of paste, redo the paste, use 3-4mm diameter hemisphere of thermal paste.

Usually, when you fry a component, you'll hear an audible pop. Not always, and sometimes there is a bit of smoke as well. Do you smell anything like burning plastic when you turn it on? The fan should be the first thing kicking on. It's a part of a computer's POST. Re-check the connection. There will be more than one place to plug in a fan to the board, but only one will say CPU(1). AUX is for case fans, and the board treats them differently when performing POST, well, recognizes them differently.
