Computer won't turn on when I hit the power button

Have to push my power button a bunch of times to turn on my PC. Other times it turns on in one push. The mother board lights up and I'm hearing BIOS beep codes so I'm guessing it's not a psu issue. Possibly a faulty power button?

Pretty sure the beep codes will give it away? Depending on how many beeps and for how long will tell you what kind of problem it's having. Could be many things, PSU, loose card, short circuiting.

I tried listening to the beep codes earlier and it didn't match any of the ASUS codes which are listed in the guide. https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1029959/ (here's a link to the codes, the beep I'm getting is one continuous beep).

Sounds like its bad ram - try re-seating the ram, if that doesn't solve it - seat 1 at a time and start up to see which one is failing.

if the pc a few years old or been sitting for a bit without being uses the cmos battery may be going dead. on some mb a dead cpu will cause a no boot. if the mb when it having issues is beeping count the beepcodes. it point you to failing ram or video card. make sure there both locked in.
