I've just built a new PC and am selling the old one to give it a new home.
I've removed the old graphics card and PSU and installed a new PSU which was purchased second hand from Gumtree (UK Craigslist equivalent)
I've plugged everything in and the computer contains:
SSD plugged in via SATA & power
HDD plugged in to MB & power with SATA & power
PSU connected to Motherboard - 24 pin, CPU - 8 pin, SSD, HDD, Front fans via molex
No graphics card, but the MB has onboard graphics (https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Motherboard/GA-890GPA-UD3H-rev-21#ov)
Ram & CPU haven't been touched and were all working fine.
The fans spin but then turn off straight away, and the power light flashes then turns off and the system powers down.
I've tried re-seating the CPU & MB connectors several times, have unplugged the case fans.
I was going to try the paperclip test, however, the cable is black and I can't find the manual online and it wasn't provided - the PSU model is CIT 600w fx pro.
Is there anything else I can do to test it, or shall I just accept I've been scammed? Payment was via PayPal so I have some protection.
