Computer working but no display

So a few weeks ago I turned on my computer, the display wasn’t working so I let it sit and the computer shuts itself off and turns back on again but this time the display was detected. It was suspicious but I left it there anyways. However a few days ago I had an i3 6100 and gtx 1060 6gb, the problem still exist but again, I ignored it. Today, I put an i5 6600k to replace the i3 and the display wasn’t detecting the dvi cable and I tried searching online, I did everything and I have no luck. Everything in pc is running, cpu gpu etc but there was no display. I need help.

Which motherboard are you using?
If the motherboard has a video output connect the display to it.

I have an ECS H110M C3D. I don’t think it has a video output on the motherboard.

I have a dvi cable, and I forgot to mention that my new gpu took the screw off the dvi.

That does not sound good. Did someone pulled the cable without disconnecting first?

I suggest you try another DVI cable. Do you display has other connections besides DVI?

I can ask my friend for an hdmi and test it. I’ll see how it goes
