Hey there
I have Caby Lake 7770K system with Asus motherboard and M2 drive. This computer is built for audio production and it took almost a year of work of installing multiple software titles for audio production over 5 or 6 drives. If this system fails and will need Windows reinstall, it would likely take another 6 months of work to reinstall and re-authorize everything installed- so there is a lot of pressure to keep it going at any cost.
The problem is that it frequently freezes on the "Republic of Gamers" screen. When it happens, the keyboard and mouth dont work, so there is no F1 or F2 or delete. Pressing Reset or Hold Power down results in light going out to come back exactly to the same screen. Initially there was issue with this computer turning itself on by touching anywhere on the top panel- some kind of shortage that would power it on by touch- BeQuiet was contacted, they said, "Wow- we never heard of that!" and did nothing to resolve it- refused to replace. So I stuck with it. I have different computer for internet use and this music computer supposed to stay off when not in use, but it frequently turns itself on, and I can't tell how often it gets unstable- I just find it being on glowing under my desk.
Initially- this "Republic of Gamers" screen was happening once in a while and restart would solve it, but last night I was restarting over and over and over and over and could not move forward, until the power cable unplugged itself by accident when I moved computer from under my desk to look inside the case and then it went to initial screen before you get to BIOS, and it said something about booting in safe mode becoming unstable and to revert to previous configurations- press F1 to enter configurations, and it loaded BIOS.
I have very simple XMP profile enabled- with Asus BIOS, it is 1 click operation.
CPU Frequency 4200 Mhz
Memory Frequency 2133Mhz
Target CPU Turbo Mode Frequency 4500Mhz
Target DRAM Frequency 3000Mhz
The worse part is that I can't get to the BIOS when it hangs up on Republic of Gamers screen. Right now computer is booted to Windows and running normally. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.
