Concerned about a noise coming from my hard drive or power supply.

Hello, for the last couple of weeks now my Desktop has been making a strange sound. It makes an odd sound after I open a program or after closing a game. There's times where it makes the sound when I'm playing for a couple seconds but goes back to being silent. It's hard to describe the sound, but I was hoping someone here had a similar issue where they could help me out with what the cause of it is.

Hard to make a call without actually hearing the sound directly coming from your case. Maybe share a youtube link of something similar? Easy way to find out for sure if it's your hard drive is to try another, or try to boot without it.

Since it happens when you open a program, it does sound (pun not intended) like it is a hard drive issue.
