This is the PSU I have for my new PC

The thing that worries me is that this PSU has a hybrid fan mode. There is mild vibration whether its in hybird mode or fanless mode and it worries me if the fan isn't spinning.

My cousin says that only if the PSU is at 30% load the fan will spin and seeing that most of the time my system case remains cool(as I'm using Lian Li 216 for the case) its not going to make the PSU fan spin.

Should I be concerned about this? I have now enabled fanless mode( I believe it is with the button at the back pressed).

I can't send an RMA because Seasonic isn't in India for some reason as I got this from Newegg from my cousin. From what I have done so far(exporting edited videos and playing not so demanding games) nothing seems to have happened. No BSOD, no glitches and no explosions yet. PSU isn't even noisy with or without hybrid.

I just feel some intense vibration from the bottom left side of the case when there is load here and there but that's about it.

My cousin confirms that when he tested it the fan was spinning and it was working as expected. Not wanting to take out the PSU to see for it myself, I can't tell if the fan is spinning or not other than the vibration of the case differing here and there.

I use my Seasonic Vertex in hybrid mode all the time. The entire PSU is designed to run this way and will automatically turn the fan on IF it needs the additional cooling. You should not be worried about using it in hybrid mode.

Apologies for responding late. But I was told that if the fan keeps running, the components in the PSU last longer.
The Seasonic Prime series comes with a 12 year warranty. That is regardless of using the hybrid mode or not. In general the fan doesn't turn on until the components get warm enough that they need active cooling. Do you really need active cooling on your capacitors when it is converting 50W for standard desktop usage and the temp is 20° C? No.

Then there's the problem when playing games as most say to turn off hybrid mode because it creates problems.

That is completely false. In hybrid mode the fan will turn on automatically when it gets to a certain temperature OR a certain load. If I remember correctly the hybrid mode will keep the fan off until about a 30% load and then slowly ramp the fan up as more power is required. As I said earlier I have a Seasonic Vertex PSU and run it in hybrid mode all the time, even when gaming. Don't forget that Seasonic also makes PSUs that are completely fanless. They wouldn't be making something with this ability AND giving it a 10+ year warranty if they thought that the hybrid mode would reduce its lifespan.
