Hi everyone

For over one month I am considering what parts to pick for my new (my first) build. I was waiting for the NVIDIA 900 Series. This are the parts I picked:

ASRock H81M
Intel i5 4460
MSI (Gigabyte) GTX 970
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
Kinston HyperX Fury 2x4 GB 1600MHz
Corsair CX500
Fractal Design Arc mini r2
Stock PC cooler

I'm on a budget and I don't want anything but the GTX 970. My concers are the PSU and the stock pc cooler. Is the CX500 good enough qualitywise? Will the intel stock cooler be loud?

I use stock, doesn't seem to be loud. The CX brand is bad quality

Look at this list for top PSU quality.

That is a small case I would recommend a mid tower not a mini tower. I also suggest you get a secondary HDD since 250 GB is kind of a small amount.

You are correct - the power supply and the Intel stock cooler are both a stick of poo. You can get by with the stock cooler for now if you are on a budget; just don't overclock and keep an eye on the temps when gaming for a while.

For a PSU, plenty of options from that list .. tier 2a is probably where you'd want to aim for and still be in the $60 range or so. That is not a part you want to skimp on.

Well, I have two HDDs, one 500GB as a extern drive, the other 1 TB in my notebook. I will put the extern drive in my notbook and put the one from the notebook in my new build. I really don't need that much memory. For windows and my games, I think 250 GB is enough.

I am sticking with the intel stock cooler and with the case. I think the case is good quality and has a good price. I don't need a bigger case.

As for the PSU, I think I will go with the Corsair RM550. It is not that expensive, it's Tier 2 - class A, is fairly quiet and has modular thin black cables...
I have to wait another month to save up the money, so should I maybe consider the GTX 960 ???

I'm going to play on a 1920x1080 resolution

GTX 970 you mean? Everything seems to be in order.

For the stock fan problem, I get cool enough temps while gaming. I can play games like GMOD, SWTOR, PAYDAY 2, Skyrim, etc. for like the whole day and still be fine, but yes watch your temps. I am going to upgrade to a AfterMarket cooler soon so :p
