Condensation

I plan on adding a sub-room temperature cooling system on my computer and I am aware of the problems that condensation can cause.

I'm going to use a powerful peltier element and I was wondering what is the best way to get rid of condensation.

Should I put strong insulation around the peltier, or should I use some non-conductive protection all over the motherboard?

Is there any other way to prevent or to protect the system from condensation?
 
Asetek's VapoChill system uses an unusual method. They use insulation and a small heating element. They insulate the socket and heat the processor pins. With an insulated socket the only way to transmit heat is through the pins.

Interesting. Would you appear to have a suggestion for what kind of material to use, in order to insulate the socket?

Also, would you know how powerufl the heating element should be?
 
That's very unconventionnal, but seems interesting. :smile: Did you ever tried one? Does it gives any kind of interesting results in a computer system?
 
I have questions about non-pourous foam. Is it possible to remove it frmo the motherboard?

Is it still possible to perform jumpers adjustment when it is on the motherboard?
