Configuration of three routers one after another

Hey,

At the beginning sorry for my english - in my contry no one knows how to help me😛

My problem is: I got my internet connection from a person lending me house. He lives in a house nearby. I know onlny that he has a modem xxx.xxx.1.1 and a router xxx.xxx.0.1. From his router a cable go to my house.

Up to this moment i had one router for all my devices and everything was ok, but I made a small biznes on the other side of the road and set there another router connected to my via nanostations.

Firstly I made my router xxx.xxx.1.11 and my company router xxx.xxx.1.12 it worked, but I had problems with internet. Sometimes I got it without doing anything from by house owner's router, but sometimes I got information from my company router that it has no internet connection.

According to Polish "specialist" I should make my router xxx.xxx.2.1 and company router xxx.xxx.3.1, however this made it all wrong. The problem still exists, and what's more, my synology (plugged to my home router) doesn't see the company cameras (as it did before).

Is there any solution to this situation?

You do need to make your home router a different subnet from your neighbors. So you could make your house router 192.168.2.1 (and change you routers DHCP to match that subnet. Now if you put your business on a separate subnet, say 192.168.3.1, your Synology will not be able to browse for the cameras, you would have to enter their IP addresses manually. If you don't have to have the business on a separate network, you could connect from your Nanostation into the LAN port on the router at your business (and not use the WAN port). This would put your home network and business network on the same subnet and everything would be able to see each other. The problem with doing this is you will be sending broadcast traffic over the wireless link (Nanostation). This could eat up bandwidth. Anyway you could try it and see if it works for you.
