configure windows 7 services

There was this website that describe each service in Windows 7, very well, with recommendations for leaving on, or turning off, with descriptions of what would happen if turned on or off. I cannot find that website now. Can anyone recommend such a good guide for hardening Win7? Thanks!

There are websites out there that can give you a basic understanding, yes, but the real difference of performance will come in the services you choose to switch to manual or disable or whatever. If you want, you can take a snapshot, post it here, and I can help you with it.
