Hey guys,
Recently my laptop's main boot drive crashed which is an Nvme SSD.
I didn't knew what exactly went wrong and wanted to see if I can still retrieve data from this ssd.
However I have an older Msi mainboard (b85-g43) which doesn't have an nvme port. So I bought a cheap Pci card for an nvme drive.
(Adapter)
The drive does show in device manager and in disk manager however it is configured as RAW.
I tried to retrieve the data so far by using EaseUS Data Recovery but no luck so far.
However when I reinsterted the adapter it asked me to initialize the drive. Either in MBR or GPT mode, sadly none of these work.
MBR gives a windows error message:
Invalid Function
And GPT tells me that the drive is too small. It's an 128GB ssd.
At this point I just would like to format the drive but since I can't initiliaze the drive this is not possible.
Any help would be greatly apprciated either with retrieving data or formatting drive.
Greetings,
Kyle
