Hi all,

I recently got some new RAM chips, that someone from here advised me to get, and since the installation I've had several BSOD's. Several things came up when browsing for answers such as bad ram and you need to configure BIOS. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Mobo: Asus P8H61-MX USB3 Motherboard
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB DDR3 2133MHz

I also changed over connectors for my HDD's so my case fan would run as well as the HDD's. Would this of had an effect on it?

Thanks

My non-K 3770 doesn't handle 2 x 8GB 1866MHz cas9 sticks at all. I thought that since I could easily OC to 1866MHz a 2 x 4GB kit of Balistix Sport 1600MHz cas9 kit, I purchased a 2 x 8GB, 1866MHz cas9 kit. No matter what I do, I cannot get the sticks past 1600MHz. I saw a Corsair kit (2x8G|CORSAIR CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R) on sale and I could not resist it. Guess I have some decent memory for another build.
to enter BIOS when the splash screen first comes up press Delete or F2. this will let you access the bios.

to start with set the ram to 1333 Mhz and the timings printed on the ram. then test the system with Memtest86+ for 10 passes to be sure there is no errors with the ram. after passing the test then set the ram speed to your desired speed and retest. If it passes your fine to use the system as normal.

Don't have any experience with that particular board but according the Asus specs for the board, it should handle 2133MHz memory with a good CPU.

specs from the asus web site:

2 x DIMM, Max. 16GB, DDR3 2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
