Configuring windows 7 pro operating system to run microsoft 2007 office

I am trying to put microsoft office 2007 on my laptop rumming windows 7 pro. I have the files on the computer but when i try to open word, excel, powerpoint etc, it says the operation system is not configured to run them

If you installed properly from legitimate sources then this is a no brainer. How did you attempt to install Office onto your Win 7 laptop? Did you just try to copy the program files from one system to another? Or, did you actually install from an Office 2007 DVD?

No config. required, 100% compatible and updates via normal Windows Update.
