Your previous build is good, just change the CPU or Motherboard. The new build of yours aren't as good. Your PSU is too low. You should stick with your old one, or the one I recommend earlier. Get a cheaper motherboard too, like an MSI Z77-IA is pretty decent or the Asrock mITX version, I wouldn't recommend going for the $200 Asus one. While you are getting a cheaper motherboard, you could have spend that money on getting a better GPU.

Tell you what, just make sure your build have atleast 500W. A motherboard that is an LGA1155 socket for Ivy bridge and an LGA1150 for Haswell. If you can stretch your budget, I highly recommend getting a GTX760.

That is absolutely perfect. The only thing I still stand is that change the 7870XT to the GTX760. It offers a better performance than the 7870XT and is for the same price. GPU Boost 2.0 would even bridge the gap between the 2 cards even further. If you prefer AMD over NVIDIA, there is nothing wrong with the 7870XT.
