hello, I just finalized my PC list today. But I have few concerns b4 i actully send out my order.

Can anyone confirm if my MB will work well with other parts? More importantly, will all the parts work with each others well once it's assembled?

Should I consider buying another fan or it's not necessary? I am not planning to clock my cpu.

This is my first time building my own pc. I wanna to double check with the experts, so I will not screw up. Thanx!

For a 333MHz FSB processor, like XP 2500+, you would want at least PC2700 memory. In which case, you could run your memory in sync with the FSB - results in optimum performance.

Yes. I have to agree. If you want, you could get some DDR 400 and then you would be ready for a 400 FSB Athlon if you ever buy one. Even though it is rated at 400 MHz. you can still clock it down to 333 MHz. and run it in sync with your CPU. This is what I did. Here is my system:

Looks good to me though I have heard better things about liteon optical than LG, I am using LG and they work fine. Just a short plug for Ati here. The Radeon 9500 is about the same price as your Ti card, but is Dx9.It is much better for games bothe present and future. And no there is no compatability issues putting a radeon card on an nforce board.

k, thanx guys, i will have to pay over $100 CDN for 9500, which is over my budget on video card. One last thing on RAM.

Should I get 2x 256MB RAM or just one 512MB for my nforce deluxe mb ? I will have to pay the similair price for either option. The only advantage is that i can add another 512 mb to dual channel later one if i go with one 512 mb option. What should i do?

thanx!

Must use at least two memory modules in order to benefit from the Dual DDR feature of the nForce2 chipset. get 2x 256MB RAM. Should you make the move to 1024MB later, just add a 512MB memory module and configure your memory modules as such: the 512MB memory module in the memory slot that seems to stand alone and the two 256MB memory modules in the two remaining memory slots.

Also go with DVD drive instead of CD rom drive , very small difference in price. I recommend LiteOn drives inexpensive and perform good . both CDRW & DVD

hey, prof. So you are saying it's better to get 2X 256MB RAM first? Right?

and randy, yeah, i changed to DVD rom now, thanx for the reminder.

thanks again!

yes the 2x 256mb is better than 1x 512 because 2 modules are necissary to enable dual channel opperation.
