Confounding SLI Problem

Alright, first off, here are my computer specifications

ASUS P6T SE
Intel i7 960
6GB OCZ Gold DDR3
2x MSI GTX460 HAWK
Corsair tx750
750GB WD Black
2TB Hitachi Deskstar

Windows 7 Ultimate
Latest nvidia drivers

The problem:
I can't get the computer to SLI for the life of me...

Windows recognizes both GPUs
nvidia control panel recognizes both GPUs
GPU-z recognizes both GPUs

BUT... there is no option to SLI under 3d settings in nvidia control panel

I've tried switching the GPUs around and rebooting a million times...

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

According to the Asus site that's one of those X58 crossfire only boards.

Yes, the P6T SE only supports Crossfire.

I had to flash the board into a P6T in order to enable SLI, which I am now running.
