Hi guys, just upgrades my 2x4 fury x 1600 memory to 2x4 Crucial Ballistix Elite 1866. I know its not a notable upgrade, A friend bought them but his cpu/mobo isnt compatible with 1866 memory so I traded my kingston's for his new ram.

Problem is that the rams are listed at 9-9-9-27 and says the same thing on the SPD tab on cpuz, but not on the memory tab:

What should I do? Or im just wrong and it should be like that? Thanks!

Have you pressed and turned on the oc genie power button physically kn the motherboard? And just Reseat the ram. Your computer motherboard will automatically configure it to the best settings, then you can overclock from there by dropping timings lower and lower while increasing the dram voltage to 1.65 and your ram timings you can drop to like 9 9 9 26. Then reboot if it fails try 10 10 10 28, then slowly work your way down.

The xmp option after I read your manual will be avaliable underneath dram settings, then right underneath dram frequencies between that and try mem. But first the computer must be off and you have to press oc genie button on the motherboard.

Also PLEASE MAKE SURE that your ram stacks are in DIMM 2 and 4. Not 1...

Also set Tras to equal to or close to the sum of the first 3 timings, then the Trfc should be set to auto, set on both, enable channel interweaving, and last but not least the command time should be 2t not 1t, set it to 2t while you lower the timings.

Also the card already has xmp, after more research on y ou r ram, if it's running at 1866 then xmp is enabled and no need to worry. Otherwise without xmp, the sticks are actually ddr3 1333mhz sticks, this info directly from the site and manual.

So yoy are running in xmp, my suggestions is to check cpu z to see what the xmp speed and timings are, then go into the bios and change it to the exact same. The ram you have is horrible for overclocking so do not try or else anything above 1866 leads to bsod.

Pressed the onboard oc genie button, entered bios and the xmp option and option appeared!! I couldnt activate neither of them tho, but clicked the oc genie option in bios, and xmp options became available, enabled it and the timings and frequency were detected perfectly, in bios and in cpu z.

Thanks a lot! really appreciate it
