Hey guys i am building a new PC and i need help choosing a MOBO
I was thinking about fatal1ty b360 k4 but after researching i found out that its so cheap but not good enough for me
so i need a good MOBO with a great features.

some notes about me:
1.I want a budget PC (Approx.. until $1200).
2.I am not going to overclock the CPU (just the Graphics card).
3.I don't want big storage i think that 1tb and 500gb is enough for me.
4.the PSU will be full modular for the cable management.
5.I like the RGB lighting with the syncing feature like the aura sync and the mystic light.
6.I am going to play on 1080p 144Hz.

EDIT:This is my pcpartpicker build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mYXHpG

Solution
here are my 2cents:
for cpu:
i think a 8400 instead of the 8600 (saves $50 bucks) will give you a better bang with minimal performance impact. personally, i think 8500 and 8600 (non-k) are more for OEMs (charging people $50 more for every 100 Mhz gain). and even the default cpu should be able to cool the cpu. (saves another $35)

for the mobo,
you are running a cpu with a 65w average tdp and you don't overclock, unless you have plans to upgrade them to 8700 (non-k) or any other i7 cpu that's 95w+, any motherboard should handle the i5 8x00 with no issue.

if you don't plan to do any cpu upgrade, i would say any b360 board with a vrm heatsink should do a fine job.
depending on your budget, if you wish to spend a bit more on the mobo...

depending on your budget, if you wish to spend a bit more on the mobo,

may i ask what's reason for not choosing k4? most b360 and z370 under $150 usd are cheaply made. but are totally fine if you are running stock.
you could take something like a msi z370-a pro (but no rgb, reasonably priced) and take advantage of the 3000 mhz ram.

or in the similiar price range, you can

asus rog strix b360-f. it has rgb, reasonable power delivery and loads of feature, only thing i don't like is the price (overpriced for the ASUS logo)

of course you could go complete overkill and get your Asrock z370 ex4 (price is 105, 130, 160 respectively)

storage,
i'm a bit confused about storage,
you have a sata 1tb ssd and a 500gb sata hdd?
normally, people trends to get a 250-500gb ssd (nvme instead of sata) and a 1tb stat hdd for storage. it's a good combination of price and performance.

it will end up something like this: around 1240 usd, but could go lower if you change the mobo.

The ASUS mobo you've posted is more expensive then the GIGABYTE i've choosen above.
and i think i will just buy a wifi adapter later..
Because i will probably use the ethernet cable for a stable connection.

Thank you zyh1987 for the info about the CPUs.
After watching some videos, i saw a great results.
you were right the difference was so little Approx.. (2~3%) For +50$

yes, you can.
oc on graphic card is not mobo dependent. to put it in simple term, mobo provides a data link between your gfx card to the cpu. your gfx card running parameter are stored in the video card vbios.

it has more to do with your PSU, and the quality of your gfx card as well as actual chip quality

i think all gfx vendor has built in profile that allows user to run their 1070ti on 1080 level without manually tweaking the settings. just need to download the perspective gpu oc software and load the oc profile.

Just ignore the addons but see the big difference between no.1 and no.8
about $600.....

and i think i can save more..!

If not, this will be my final build....

Btw>i am making this build for me and two of my friends so i need to save as much as possible and it agrees our needs...!

depending on the build, if you don't want to oc your cpu, 8600k is kinda pointless, a 8700 would be a better choice, and you can use a decent b360 instead of a z370 board to offset the cost,

things to watch for if you want to go with a 8700, CPU like the cm hyper212 or cryorig h7 do a good job.
8700 is still pretty power hungry so you want to use a b360 motherboard with heatsink over the vrm as a minimum.

i know, but this one is old, i was just choosing the latest parts i like on the market,
but after researching i found out that it's a huuuuuge overkill for 1080p 144hz+gaming,
because i don't need such a powerful CPU (i5 8600k) for gaming!! (i know it hires the frames a bit but its (a bit FPS but it's approx..$100 for a (bit!!))

And the GFX: is also a overkill 1080ti for a 1080p display?!...naah it's 300 doollars!!.

As u mentioned above the aio cooler is so noisy than the air (i mean the corsair aio, but thermaltake aio (the one with 3 fans) is so quite and mybe (idle on 30c | overload on 60c) which sooooo cold)

The rams: it's not worth it getting a 4000mhz or 2000mhz in rams coz there is no difference it's just a marketing thing but the performance still the same and there is no change in FPS not even 1fps.

The PSU: better to get a gold or better and add more 50 watts over your pc watts.

The storage: thought its better to get like 2tb NVMe but it will be so so so expensive. so i've got one NVMe 500gb for (i didn't decide until now :p, i think you can help me) and hdd 3.5" 1tb for (still don't know) and its definitely much cheaper than taking 2tb NVMe.

The Motherboard: i don't know what to say | I think the best Mobo is the Mobo that has the features u need.

I think that's 80~90% of what i got after some research.

If there is any mistake, tell me so i can fix it.:D

yeah i see it saves 130 bucks...

also, if you reduce the ssd to 500gb , price drop by $150
(you can drop the hdd or recycle existing hard drive ,that would save you $40)

b360 doesn't use ram higher than 2666, so you pick a 2666 memory kit, $70 off.
