Hi,

Today I ordered this i5 and RTX 3060 PC that I wanted for a while: https://bit.ly/3mZjHs3

This has a very boring case tbh so I wanted to buy some RGB fans to go with it and make it looks nicer. I started looking at different ones at Amazon and i just got confused with all the different connectors and brands. The PC is has an Asus Prime B460m-a motherboard, which apparently supports asus aura RGB but after looking at the manual it has two RGB 4 pin connectors. What sort of rgb fans will i be able to getand what do you guys recommend as i honestly just don't know what will work now.
Peripherals wise i run Razer products so anything that syncs eith this is a bonus but not really a requirement.

This is the link for the motherboard: https://bit.ly/3ec4zmT

Hopefully someone will be able to explain this to me and advice on what should i get. Thanks a lot!

It is a general description of the two major types or lighted fans dominating the market, and contains a few points specifically for the OP who was using the 3-pin ARGB type. YOU are using the OTHER ones - the 4-pin plain RGB type. As you say, your mobo has two of those headers.

NOTE that point that a lighted fan is really TWO devices in one unit - a fan motor, and a set of lights - with separate cables from each. Also note this big source of confusion. You have seen that fan LIGHTS are labelled often as 3-pin or 4-pin. But for fan MOTORS there are two major designs that use those SAME names, even though there is NO relationship between them! The older fans use a female connector with THREE holes, and they are called "3-pin fans" or Voltage Controlled Fans. The newer design uses a 4-hole connector and is called a 4-pin fan or a PWM fan. Based on your mobo fan header labels, you should look for fans that have the 4-pin plain RGB type of lights in the frame, and the 4-pin PWM style of motor.

Try starting off with these here:
Not sure if amazon.uk sales em but I have 2 of these in my case, very nice bright hue color and 1 other corsair fan.
https://www.amazon.com/Vetroo-15-LEDs-Cooling-Computer-Radiators/dp/B00THQ31CC/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=120mm+fans+purple&qid=1618804687&sr=8-3

Also try looking into strip lights towards the bottom side of the case.

Yeah the fans I linked do have a good rpm speed, so it will help much better than boring stock case fans.
