Theres a panel on the top, one side of which has slats that look like they are for air flow ,the other side solid. I bought a new system, and when it arrived the top panel had come off in shipping ,and i saw what the two sides of the panel looked like....This confused me ,how do the slats allow air thru ,when the other side of the panel is solid ?

Same with the front of the case .the front panel has the fans on it ,but the panel itself is solid .The only way it looks like it would allow good air flow to the fans ,is if the front panel was open all the time....which seems very odd...

Solution
My guess is that it has very little airflow with the sound dampening panels used.
Especially since the first thing mentioned in the features is this:
Optimized for silence with high-density industrial dampening on side, top and front panels

But apparently you can switch panels for more airflow:
Third generation ModuVent™ technology gives users the choice between a soundproof steel cover or filtered multi-fan ventilation setup in the top panel

Solution
So im using it as designed with the top panel "solid" side up , and the front panel closed ? K, works for me. Damn thing is so quiet i cant tell if its on when not looking at it.

Thanks
