[SOLVED] Confused my friend has non existent drives showing.

Why does it show to have this many drive when only has a ssd and a single hard drive.

Do you have a multi-memory-card reader attached ?

No he has not got any external storage devices like that.

Are there - or have there being - installed any software to emulate physical drives ?

Some more details may help here, is this a clean setup on a new system with those two drives? Post a screnshot of the disk manager utility.

His set up is about 7 months old and just looking to do some storage optimisation for his hard drive ( the defrag) and when he went to do so we found the other drive and did not know what they were

Then, it's probably virtual devices you're looking at. Try to see if it says anything about driver version and vendor.
