Hey all I have most of my components for a pc build but I am confused on the OS. Some sites sell it for $50 and say you have to download it. Newegg lists it for around $100. What do I buy? OEM or Full? Thx

The difference between the OEM and full is the license rights associated to it. For OEM, the license is technically tied to the PC. Essential the same as if you bought a pre-built PC from Dell or HP......Not true with windows 10 , it's tied to your Microsoft Account and can be transferred to a new setup , but only 1 computer at a time can be activated with it.

If it's an OEM from a prebuilt it's not transferrable , but if it's purchased for a homebuilt it is.
I would suggest that you buy Windows 10 full edition (either home or pro depending on your needs). The difference between the OEM and full is the license rights associated to it. For OEM, the license is technically tied to the PC. Essential the same as if you bought a pre-built PC from Dell or HP. While, the full version, you can technically transfer the license from one PC to another. This is useful if you upgrade/change motherboards.
